Hi performers! Welcome to the Sing Confidently, Live Creatively podcast, a show for professional and pre-professional performing artists who want to build confidence in their singing!

I get it! Hi, I’m Estelle, a Professional Singer, Actor, and Voice Teacher in my online studio, Creatively Performing Arts. I also teach and music direct locally in North Carolina at various music studios and theaters!
I grew up performing, but everyone kept telling me to save the arts for retirement or the weekends. So after college, I went to medical school, thinking that was the safest path. But I realized I had those creative passions for a reason and couldn't stay in a career that hid my gifts. So, I decided to leave. Dramatic, I know, but I'm in theatre after all!
After I left medical school, I started a Masters in Music and Music Education at Columbia University (hybrid) and developed my voice intentionally while helping other singers along the way. I began to build confidence in my dreams and my voice beyond what I'd ever known!
I want to help you do the same - build confidence in your singing voice so you can live your creative dreams!
On this show, you will learn how to sing with more confidence, how to train your voice consistently, how to prepare your songs for auditions, how to belt, how to develop mix technique, how to breathe properly as a singer, and more!
You’ll get mindset tips to help you take action on your creative gifts in spite of imposter syndrome, self-doubt, rejection, and fear of what people think.

Hi Singers! Do you wish you could sing notes in the middle/higher part of your voice with more volume, power, and strength with out pushing or forcing the sound out? This is possible!
So let's talk about one way you can actually do this. The tool I'm talking about is called vowel modification, and I'm going to share how this works to help you sing in a belt that's technically a "mix", because it doesn't require you to "pull up" your chest voice. You'll walk away with a clear, simple tool you can practice and apply to whatever note you want to belt out this week.

Ok so remember when you were a kid and LOVED going to theatre camp or being part of the school choir?
There was excitement when you heard about auditions for solos in school choirs and when drama auditions came around. You searched for local dance classes and were looking up how-to jazz dance videos on YouTube to brush up on skills. Or was this just me? You were willing to do whatever you could just to be in a creative space and to do what you LOVED to do: perform. Be an artist. Feel creative.
